Color Temperature (Kelvin) → RGB
Convert a color temperature in Kelvin to its approximate sRGB value and hex color — the color a blackbody radiator glows at that temperature. 2700 K is a warm incandescent bulb, 6500 K is neutral daylight, and 10000 K is cool overcast sky light. Useful for lighting design, photography white-balance, and picking warm/cool tints. Runs locally in your browser.

This uses the well-known Tanner Helland piecewise approximation of the Planckian locus, valid roughly 1000–40000 K, with results clamped to 0–255 and rounded. Color temperature describes a single dimension (warm↔cool) of light, not a full color, so many real light sources that aren't true blackbodies (LEDs, fluorescents) only approximate this curve. The preview is the computed sRGB color over a neutral background. Pairs with the Color Converter and OKLCH Converter. Everything runs locally — nothing leaves your browser.
