Theory scope: Standard seven-note definitions use consecutive letter names and accidentals selected to match pitch class; this can produce correct uncommon spellings such as E♯ or double accidentals. Chords are made mechanically by stacking every other scale degree and quality is classified from semitone content. Roman numerals describe scale-degree position and chord quality; they are not a full harmonic-function or voice-leading analysis. Pentatonic scales show pitch collections but do not derive “diatonic thirds,” because cyclic every-other-note stacking is not equivalent to conventional heptatonic tertian harmony. A custom seven-note set can be stacked, but its chromatic spellings and Roman numerals are explicitly positional approximations; custom sets of other sizes show notes only. Melodic minor here means the ascending form. Enharmonic pitch classes sound equivalent in equal temperament but can have different theoretical spellings. No audio is loaded or generated.
