VO₂ Max Calculator
Estimate maximal oxygen uptake (VO₂max, in ml/kg/min) — a key measure of aerobic fitness — using three established methods: Cooper's 12-minute run, the Uth heart-rate-ratio estimate, and the Rockport 1-mile walk test. Results are classified against age- and sex-specific normative bands. Estimates are heuristic; for a clinical measurement use a graded treadmill or cycle ergometer with gas analysis. VO₂max is the maximum rate of oxygen consumption during incremental exercise, in millilitres per kilogram per minute. Methods: Cooper (12-min run distance), Uth (15.3 × HRmax/HRrest), Rockport (1-mile walk time, ending HR, age, weight, sex). Normative bands are age- and sex-specific approximations. Runs locally.
